Marking Studio Kennon’s first residential project in Queensland, Bel Air reinterprets the architectural language of New Farm through a distinctly contemporary lens.

Rather than creating a building that sits within the landscape, the architecture allows the landscape to inform its shape. Softened edges, generous terraces, and layered planting respond to the rhythm of the trees above, creating a building that feels as though it belongs beneath the canopy rather than rising above it.

Where Light Reveals the Textures of Home

Bel Air’s interiors are shaped by a warm, tonal palette that finds richness in texture rather than contrast. Pink Patagonia Quartzite and Gold Marble introduce moments of expressive veining, while European Oak flooring and light-oak joinery establish a calm, natural foundation. Plaster-look finishes, neutral tiles, and wool carpet bring further softness and depth. Carried throughout each residence, these materials create a cohesive interior language that feels tactile, relaxed, and enduring – refined without formality.
