Karthina Lane Recognised with Special Commendation at The Urban Developer Awards 2026

Now in its eighth year, The Urban Developer Awards for Industry Excellence has become one of the country's most respected platforms for recognising excellence across property development, design, construction and innovation. This year's program drew more than 200 finalists across 26 categories, with winners judged independently by 40 industry leaders and announced at a ceremony at The Star, Gold Coast.

We're proud to share that Karthina Lane received a Special Commendation in the Development of the Year – Industrial category.

Karthina Lane was born from a simple idea: that industrial spaces can be reimagined for owner-occupiers, creatives and small businesses without losing sight of wellbeing. Passive design principles, abundant natural light and thoughtful landscaping shaped workplaces that prioritise people alongside function, and that approach translated into strong sales performance on the ground.

The judges praised the project's innovative industrial design, strong commercial returns and meaningful community contributions, recognising how industrial projects can achieve broader social and economic outcomes.

This commendation is a great reflection of what we stand for at frank.: rethinking what's possible in every project, and building spaces that genuinely serve the people who use them.
